My high school had a marching band, drill team and cheerleaders. These kids roll all those functions into one. I can hardly imagine all the practice this performance takes. I bet these kids are A-students too.
Had to watch this one too. They are so sharp and polished. They can do everything, and do it very good. A long tradition that is still going strong. I love Tachibana!
I just love watching Chippi, beating the stuffing out of the drums.....she puts all her heart in to playing those drums like no one's business. It's so easy to see how much she truly enjoys performing and playing which ever instrument she is assigned to that day. In the same interview, she said she always doubted her skills while being an active member of the band. She is so modest, yet so talented. I wish Comare the best of health and wealth in the years to come. She, Chippi, and the young flutist with the prosthetic leg make this such an outstanding group of young scholars. For some reason ; it was MORE difficult to control the tears of joy during this ... 7-minute video clip . Mentioning ... in case anyone else experienced the same 'situation' .
It always fascinates me how the Japanese people applaud so politely. Anyway else we would be shouting and cheering clapping hard. Comare and Chippi smashing the drums and the courageous Kurara dancing to perfection as well playing the flute. That was some band at that time. The future is bright the future is Orange 🍊
@@Dodger0103 If I am not mistaken, this was a joint concert that KT SHS holds every year by inviting local junior high school bands. This is meant to attract new students to join KT, and of course the band. In the past, they allowed such events to be videoed, but not now unfortunately. The audience are almost all junior highschool students. They're locals, so they probably know how the KT band performs, but seeing and hearing them up close is a different experience. So, it's not that they were polite. I think they were stunned (!!) by what they see and hear.

@@jimmyharris1481 Chippy...she's named after potato chips. Facebook group unofficial fan club has interview with her and other few that went to 2020 rose parade with green band. It was explained that she always gets Tippi but its really chippy
Band members interviewed at the time of their Rose Bowl trip/appearance were quoted as saying they really loved the big, excited reactions from audiences in the U.S. It is simply a more restrained response, on average, back home in Japan. From this, I doubt there is much actual disappointment for the members, as it is normal in their experience.

ピッコロの右のフルートの子（クララさん）義足であるにもかかわらず見事です。激しい動きで心配になるほどです。好きな事をする為とは言え大変な努力をされた事でしょうね。
モコモコ 義足とは思えないぐらい動けてて、本当に凄いですが、同じく負担とか心配です。
義足じゃない私でも多分この動きしんどいだろうにな（何か楽器出来たとして高校生だったとしてもどっちかでていいっぱいで疲れきって笑顔なんて無理です）と思うと、本当に凄いです。
京都橘でフルートしたいという思いで、時には他の人にはない辛さとかあったんでしょうけど、乗り越えて楽しそうな笑顔（クララさんの笑顔好きです）、本当素敵です

朝練の為朝７時に学校に登校して放課後も夜７時まで練習する日課が、週７日ほぼ毎日とのことですが、これほど多くの現代っ子がその練習に耐えて実践していることが凄いと思います。部員全員が学校の近所に住んでいる訳でもないでしょうから、学校から自宅に帰って夕飯を食べたり風呂に入ったりしていたら、殆ど自由な時間などないのでしょう。土日もなく毎朝７時から朝練というだけで、厳しい練習内容以前に私なら「絶対無理で～す！」です。そんなことを考えながら、動画を観ているとまた目頭が熱くなってきてしまいます。応援しています、頑張ってください！！

It used to be an all-girls school. It hasn't been co-ed all that long.
俯瞰の映像は全体が観られていいですね。橘はどの角度、どの場面、どの会場を見てもそれぞれで楽しめる本当に素晴らしいチームです。
例えば5：04からのステップ。
おじさんだてらにちょっとマネしてみましたが、足を合わせようとすると手の甲が引っくり返ってしまいます。練習のたまものだと思いますが彼女たちは透明感のある演奏をしながらこのステップを難なくこなしまう。やっぱりすごいです。
橘の演奏は楽器のバランスがとても良くてどんな構成でも音質がとても心地よく聴きやすいです😍
どの場所で演奏した物でもスタジオ録音並のクオリティなのは凄いです😍
